FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Financial Assistance is made possible through the generosity of donors, sponsors, churches, grants, fundraising efforts, and community partners who believe every young person
should have the opportunity to participate.
Every Student Matters
At K2K Productions, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to discover who they are, where they fit in, and their purpose through faith, mentorship, and the performing arts.
Financial Assistance exists to help remove financial barriers for families who are unable, but not unwilling, to pay the full registration fee.
Our Commitment
For more than 20 years, K2K Productions has been committed to making our programs as accessible as possible.
To help steward donor-supported financial assistance responsibly, all requests are reviewed through a confidential Financial Assistance Application. This process allows us to better understand each family's circumstances and distribute available assistance fairly and consistently.
How Financial Assistance Works
During registration:
- Complete the Financial Assistance Application.
- Upload your supporting financial documentation.
- The Financial Assistance Committee will confidentially review your application.
- We will contact you within approximately 14 business days with the outcome of your application.
Your student's space in the program will be held while your Financial Assistance Application is being reviewed. Once your application has been reviewed, we'll contact you to discuss the financial assistance available to your family and confirm your Financial Assistance Agreement.
Supporting Documentation
Applicants will be asked to provide one of the following documents:
- Your most recent Canada Child Benefit (CCB) Statement, or
- Your most recent CRA Notice of Assessment.
Families are also encouraged to share any circumstances that may affect their ability to pay. These may include:
- Recent job loss or reduction in income
- Illness or significant medical expenses
- Unexpected financial hardship
- Separation or divorce
- Single-income household
- Caring for a family member
- Other relevant financial circumstances
Providing this information helps the Financial Assistance Committee understand each family's unique circumstances and assess applications fairly, consistently, and confidentially.
Financial Assistance Decisions
Financial assistance is awarded based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funding.
Every family receiving financial assistance is expected to contribute toward their student's registration. During the application process, families are asked to indicate the monthly or semi-monthly payment amount they can reasonably commit to.
Assistance is intended to reduce financial barriers while encouraging every family to participate in the cost of the program according to their circumstances.
Family Partnership
Families receiving Financial Assistance are valued members of the K2K community and participate in the program in the same way as every other family.
All K2K families, including those receiving Financial Assistance, are expected to participate in volunteer opportunities throughout the season, including end-of-season strike and clean-up responsibilities.
Confidentiality
All applications and supporting documentation are reviewed confidentially by a small Financial Assistance Committee.
Information is used solely to assess financial assistance eligibility and is not shared outside of the review process.
