CRA INSTRUCTIONS

Option 1: CRA Notice of Assessment (Easiest)


Most people already have this.

To find:

  • Log in to CRA My Account.
  • Select Tax Returns.
  • Choose the most recent tax year.

Download or print their Notice of Assessment (NOA) as a PDF.


Option 2: CRA Proof of Income Statement

This is a separate document that the CRA generates upon request.


Obtain it:

Online (CRA My Account)

  1. Sign in to CRA My Account.
  2. Navigate to Tax Returns or Proof of income statement (the exact menu can vary).
  3. Request or download the Proof of Income Statement for the desired tax year.

By phone

  • Call the CRA Individual Income Tax Enquiries line.
  • Request a Proof of Income Statement
  • The CRA will mail it to you.
