ONLY small group leaders who are screened and trained are allowed in Kids Hall (dressing & Green rooms)

By sharing this role as a team, we can create consistency for students.

No parents, or volunteers beyond our leadership team are to enter the Kids Hall at anytime.



PURPOSE OF SMALL GROUP LEADERS:

As small group leaders, we continue to create a safe & welcoming space for every student to enter for Dress Rehearsal and Shows. Assisting students pre-show and getting to their Warm-Up (Main Aud) on time is necessary which requires everyone to move through their process of costumes, microphones (specific students) hair & make up with encouragement and prompting. Facilitating quiet conversations towards encouragement, validating feelings and understanding is needed in all areas.

Quiet games and activities can be made available for use in green room.

The Green Room Coordinator will assign leaders to tasks within the green room and ushering students to and from Backstage

If given role to usher students backstage, ensures another volunteer is present with you, ex. Stage managers, other leader etc)

Never be in isolation with a student(s)

Ensure the green room is clear of food, drinks, at all time

Tidy, clean and/or strike the green room space (Kids Aud) after each rehearsal and performance

Pre-Show:

Assist students with putting on costume pieces as soon as they arrive.

Instruct each student to go to Hair / Make Up Room as time allows, and have microphone added (if required). Routines will develop as students learn what order is best for them.

Some students require a "check in" with hair and make up; some will require hair / make up to be completed before costumes.

Students do not change the position of their mics. Please send them to MAIN AUD for adjustment.

During Show:

Students in the dressing room area (Kids Wing) require reminders, and support to know when they are needed backstage

Video feed will be available to monitor show in progress

Post Show:

Remind (and/or assist) students in taking off their costumes, hanging and placing their items in their boxes.

Students who return to Dressing Rooms with microphones need to return to MAIN AUD for team to remove.
