Cast List

The Sound of Music

We are so proud of the students and their commitment to Auditions this year.  We have NEVER witnessed such enthusiasm and follow through as we have this year.  Thank you for all your hard work!  We are excited and proud to present to you, THIS YEARS CAST for THE SOUND OF MUSIC!

  • Dance sessions have been so much fun! For those who have never been instructed in dance before - YOU DID IT!  and we believe you did your best!  Keep going.  Your bravery and willingness to "just do it" was inspiring!
  • Your singing and acting submissions were excellent.  It's not an easy task to put all this material together. Thank you! You are professional young artists already.  You made us very proud!  (way to go parent too! Technology through the past 20 months has value added, lol)

NOTES

  • There will be 2 casts for K2K's presentation of the Sound of Music, May 12-15.  Some roles have been double-casted, ie. 2 actors for one role.  When not playing one role, the student has another role they will rehearse & perform.
  • Every student will perform in both casts, on all dates. The cast lists to identify the date your student is playing one role, or another will be identified in early Spring.  We are unable to make personal accommodations for these dates/times.
  • If your role is "double casted" (another student plays the same role), you are expected to attend all rehearsals.  Until run-throughs in April, we treat the entire Company as ONE cast and rehearse together, always.  When your double-cast member is on stage, you are expected to practise off-stage and go through the motions with the cast on stage.  It's a great way to learn and reinforce learning too.
  • Some basic pieces of clothing may be required for costumes.  We will notify you in the new year what is required and where your student can leave these items to be sure their costume box is complete (ex. white tank top, tshirt, dark pants, dark shoes, dance shoes).
  • Some hair styling and make up is required for dress rehearsals & performances.  We will notify you in April 2022, what these requirements will be.  These styles help tell the story, keep hair off face / shadowing and colour on the face helps accentuate expressions and good health.
